MSI Radeon RX 6600 XT MECH 2X is a dual-fan custom-design graphics card based on AMD's new entry-level RX 6600 XT GPU, which offers a more affordable entry point to the RX 6000-series based on the RDNA 2 architecture.

The positioning of the RX 6600 XT means that this graphics card is intended purely for light gaming. Its core count, memory bandwidth and capacity, and frequency are all down significantly from the RX 6700 XT, which is the next step up. It also only uses 8 lanes of PCIe 4.

Unlike the case with the RX 6600 XT GAMING unveiled at the same time, MSI has opted to economize with the MECH 2X version: It uses a more basic cooling system with the company's TORX FAN 3.0 cooling fans. The metal support bracket and all RGB lighting are gone, too. What is left is an entry-level graphics card good for light gaming and video editing tasks but perhaps not much more.

MSI also markets a factory-overclocked version of this graphics card as RX 6600 XT MECH 2X OC. Apart from a higher boost clock, it is identical to the standard MECH 2X card.
