MSI Radeon RX 6600 XT GAMING is a dual-fan custom-design graphics card based on AMD's new entry-level RX 6600 XT GPU, which offers a more affordable entry point to the RX 6000-series based on the RDNA 2 architecture.

The positioning of the RX 6600 XT means that this graphics card is intended purely for light gaming. Its core count, memory bandwidth and capacity, and frequency are all down significantly from the RX 6700 XT, which is the next step up. It also only uses 8 lanes of PCIe 4.

Nevertheless, MSI has made sure that the RX 6600 XT GAMING is a full-featured card: It uses the company's TWIN FROZR 8 cooling solution with components such as TORX FAN 4.0 found in higher-end models. There is even a small support bracket built into the card, and it has limited RGB lighting as well.

MSI also markets a factory-overclocked version of this graphics card as RX 6600 XT GAMING X. Apart from a higher boost clock, it is identical to the standard GAMING card.

Alongside this pair of cards, MSI also introduced a more affordable card without RGB lighting and with a lesser cooling system, the RX 6600 XT MECH 2X.
