Product Overview

Sony ZV-E10 is an affordable APS-C mirrorless camera designed for vloggers. While it shares the spirit of the ZV-1 unveiled last year, the ZV-E10 is indeed based on the A6100 and A6400 interchangeable-lens cameras.
Indeed, the ZV-E10 looks suspiciously like the A6100 without the EVF with the addition of the side-opening vari-angle LCD touchscreen.
As an interchangeable-lens camera, the ZV-E10 has access to the large portfolio of lenses in the E-mount system, giving it an edge in image quality and flexibility that compact cameras cannot match.
For autofocus in video, Sony ZV-E10 supports the same level of autofocus as the A6100, including simple Eye AF for humans as well as animals.
In reality, however, the ZV-E10 is weak in stills and not suitable for professional videography. It is, as Sony contends, meant chiefly for vlogging.

Reviewers from dpreview have found:
From a body design and control standpoint, the ZV-E10 makes a lot of sense. The camera offers excellent customization and handles fairly well as a videomaking tool. Compared to the Canon EOS M50 II, we'd take the Sony for quite a few reasons. Neither camera shoots jaw-dropping Full HD footage.
Pros
  • Excellent build quality
  • Excellent autofocus
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No crop
  • No video mode

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from ndtv have found:
The Sony ZV-E10 is great for casually capturing everyday sights and events. The 16-50mm kit lens offers decent sharpness at the widest focal length but this drops a bit at higher zoom levels. The camera tends to resort to a high ISO even during the day. For sharper photos, you'll be better off using a fast prime lens with this camera.
Pros
  • Excellent image quality
  • Easy to use
  • Good battery life
  • Fast autofocus
Cons
  • No 3.5mm jack
  • No telephoto zoom

Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Sony says it's going after creative vloggers with the ZV-E10. The camera captures clear in-camera audio without the need for an add-on mic. It's powered by the same sensor and processing engine Sony uses in its a6100 and a6400 stills models.
Pros
  • Fast, accurate autofocus for stills and video
  • Easy to use
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No IBIS
  • No touch controls

techradar[4]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Sony ZV-E10 is an attractive vlogging camera with few autofocus peers at this price. With a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor, it brings back tried-and-tested imaging hardware. While video is captured at 4K, it's shot with 6K oversampling, made possible by the sensor pixel count.
Pros
  • Excellent image quality
  • 4K video at up to 30fps
  • Built-in USB-C port
Cons
  • Sluggish autofocus
  • Noise-handling when shooting video

theverge[5]

Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from theverge have found:
The ZV-E10 can take 24.2-megapixel photos, and when paired with the 16-50mm kit lens, the photos are crisp in good light. This is the same sensor that Sony has been using in its A6000 lineup for a long time, and while it’s good for a quick capture, a faster, more expensive lens will be needed for low-light situations. There is also no built-in ND filter.
Pros
  • Excellent image quality
  • Easy to use
  • Easy-to-use software
Cons
  • No built-in ND filter
  • No in-body optical stabilization
