Product Overview

MSI Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING TRIO is a custom three-fan graphics card powered by the flagship chip in AMD's RX 6000-series GPU, the RX 6900 XT, on the RDNA 2 architecture. With 5120 cores, the RX 6900 XT offers serious power for high-framerate gaming.
The RX 6900 XT GAMING TRIO features MSI's TRI FROZR 2 thermal solution that includes three TORX FAN 4.0 fans with outer ring segments between adjacent blades, which focuses the airflow and increases air pressure, squared-off heat pipes that maximizes the contact area, and large heat sinks with airflow optimizations.
While the standard GAMING TRIO card runs at reference frequency, the GAMING X TRIO and GAMING Z TRIO variants have progressively higher boost clock speeds. These factory-overclocked cards share the exact same design with the standard card. All feature RGB lighting in MSI's Mystic Light flavor as well as an included metal support bracket for vertical installations.
In the second half of 2021, MSI also introduced a refreshed version of the GAMING TRIO, named RX 6900 XT GAMING TRIO PLUS. It has a higher game clock than the original standard card as well as the GAMING X TRIO. There is no discernible visual difference, but the card is marginally heavier, suggesting that the board has been reworked.
An alternative that MSI markets is the reference card that is less "bling-y", while the GAMING TRIO family extends to other cards in the RX 6000-series.
