Product Overview
EVGA Z490 DARK is a premium E-ATX motherboard based on Intel's Z490 chipset. It supports 10th- and 11th-gen Intel Core Comet Lake and Rocket Lake desktop processors on the LGA 1200 socket.
The Z490 DARK is designed for DIY builders, with a full set of internal headers and I/O options on the rear panel. Enthusiasts will especially appreciate the switchable BIOS, dual 80 port Temp/Voltage monitors, full diagnostic LEDs, and USB BIOS update port. The latter allows the user to flash the BIOS without a CPU.
Naturally, this motherboard uses premium electronic components, including an 18-phase digital VRM.
Other highlights include a U.2 port for SSDs, dual LAN connection, including an Intel 2.5GbE NIC, and integrated WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity.
On the downside, the EVGA Z490 DARK has only two DIMMs, potentially limiting its use in some data-heavy productivity tasks.
