Product Overview

SteelSeries Prime+ is a premium wired ergonomic right-handed mouse designed for gaming. Compared to the standard Prime, it upgrades the sensor to SteelSeries' TrueMove Pro+ setup that includes a secondary lift-off sensor.
The TrueMove Pro optical sensor with CPI up to 18,000. It comes with true 1-to-1 tracking without hardware acceleration. On top of it, the secondary lift-off sensor adds depth perception for increased tracking precision. It is accompanied by an OLED display that allows the user to adjust settings such as polling rate, RGB lighting, lift-off distance, and CPI.
This sensor is paired with Prestige OM optical mechanical switches that are more consistent and durable, rated for 100 million clicks. The Prestige OM switch uses a neodymium magnet to achieve consistency, while the optical IR sensor ensures durability and fast response time.
Alongside the Prime and Prime+, SteelSeries also introduced the Prime Wireless.

Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The SteelSeries Prime+ sports a super lightweight design and a sick OLED display. It has a different sensor, called TrueMove Pro+, which SteelSeries claims has true 1-to-1 tracking. However, it's a bummer that it doesn't have many buttons, you can spend a little more to get a mouse with more buttons.
Pros
  • Sleek, lightweight design
  • Lightweight and easy to use
  • OLED display
Cons
  • Feels cheap
  • Mouse wheel feels stiff

rtings[2]

Reviewer score 43% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The SteelSeries Prime+ is a great FPS gaming mouse, but it has significantly higher latency than most wired gaming mice. That said, it's lightweight, feels very sturdy, and has a shape that's well-suited to all grip types and most hand sizes. It has a fairly flexible cable, mouse feet that glide well on all surfaces, a wide CPI range, a CPI you can adjust by increments of 50, and a very low lift-off distance.
Pros
  • Feels very well-built
  • Well-suited to all grip types and most hand sizes
  • Good quality paracord-like cable that's fairly flexible and mouse feet that glide well on both mousepads and tables
  • Comfortable right-handed shape that’s well-suiting to
Cons
  • Scroll wheel lacks L/R tilt buttons and doesn't unlock for free scrolling
  • Click latency is significantly higher than most wired gaming mice
  • Not nearly as many side buttons as a dedicated MMO mouse

Reviewers from techradar have found:
Weighing 71g, the SteelSeries Prime+ features Prestige OM switches good for over 100 million clicks. TrueMove Pro+ sensor with dedicated secondary depth sensor allows it to excel performance wise. Undercarriage located OLED screen allows for a level of mouse customizability that nearly reaches app suite levels.
Pros
  • Gorgeous OLED screen
  • Prestige OM switches
Cons
  • No in-mouse profile switching
  • No dedicated CPI adjustment buttons

tomshardware[4]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The SteelSeries Prime+ is a solidly built mouse that complements high-end switches and sensors. SteelSeries Engine makes it easy to change the default CPI levels, modify acceleration/deceleration, adjust the scroll wheel's brightness level and assign different functions to each of the mouse's buttons. The cable is good, and I don't normally have to deal with any noticeable dragging or tangling.
Pros
  • High-quality optical sensor
  • Built-in settings management
  • Detachable braided cable
Cons
  • No built-in RGB or CPI settings
  • No dedicated depth sensor
