Schenker DTR 17 (Early 2021) is a powerful 17.3-inch desktop replacement that puts power above all else. Sharing roughly the same chassis with the 2020 model, the new DTR 17 is available with either 10th-gen Comet Lake i9-10900K or 11th-gen Tiger Lake i9-11900K CPU as well as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series GPU up to RTX 3080.
Just like the original DTR 17, the 2021 model is unashamedly powerful. It boasts desktop processors and chipset in a robust chassis that is able to accommodate unrivaled I/O option set. There are now four M.2 storage slots, one of which PCIe 4 x4; both RAID 0 and RAID 1 are supported. Full-size HDMI, dual Mini-DP, dual Thunderbolt 4, 2.5Gbps LAN, and optical S/PDIF audio output are all available.
Another difference from the 2020 DTR 17 is the new Creative sound card.
For those who are not daunted by the "laptop's" close to 5kg heft, it is an interesting and, power considered, well-priced option to go all in. At the same time, Schenker also markets more manageable MEDIA 17 and KEY 17 in this model year.
