Product Overview

Oppo Reno3 Pro is a premium smartphone with an emphasis on camera performance. Like the standard Reno3, the Pro features a 6.4-inch OLED display, 3.5mm headphone jack, and FM tuner.
Like the Reno3, the Reno3 Pro has a quad-camera setup. The difference lies in the 64MP main camera unit. It also supports a 108MP Ultra Clear Mode that stiches multiple shots into a high-resolution image that is notably cleaner.
At the same time, the 44MP selfie camera on the Reno3 Pro offers one of the highest resolution available for a selfie unit.
Other features from the original Reno has been largely retained, though the fast charging is now upgraded to 30W (VOOC 4.0).

External Reviews

androidauthority[1]

Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from androidauthority have found:
The MediaTek Helio P95 is the processor in the Reno 3 Pro. It is an octa-core processor with two Arm Cortex A75 cores and six Cortex A55 cores. Supporting the processor is 8GB of RAM and at least 128GB of storage. Pro gamers, however, may be disappointed that they won't be able to use the best quality settings.
Pros
  • Super AMOLED display
  • Good battery life
  • VOC charging
Cons
  • Mediocre cameras
  • Battery life could be better

nextpit[2]

Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from nextpit have found:
Oppo Reno 3 Pro has a 64-megapixel quad-camera built into the display. The device also includes its own headphones in the box. Oppo has not developed in this area from the Oppo 2. You only get plastic headphones without memory foam or rubber caps. If you want to listen to music via a cable, opt for another pair of headphones.
Pros
  • Dual SIM
  • Good battery life
  • Good cameras
Cons
  • No 3.5mm jack
  • No wireless charging

notebookcheck[3]

Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G has a 48 megapixel camera with three more lenses on the back. The front camera offers 32 megapixels, but the sharpness of detail suffers partly from the strong graininess of the images. With 12 GB RAM and 256 GB mass storage, the Reno3 is a memory giant in the upper middle class.
Pros
  • 90 Hz display with 90 Hz refresh rate
  • Good battery life
  • Fast Wi-Fi 5
Cons
  • No microSD card slot
  • No eSIM

pcmag[4]

Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Oppo's Reno 3 Pro runs Android 10 with Oppo's ColorOS 7.1 layered on top. There are four camera sesnors on the back of the Reno: a 64MP f/1.8 "ultra-clear" main camera, a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP mono lens. Oppo claims the included 30W charger will juice the Reno's 4,025mAh battery up to 50 percent in 20 minutes.
Pros
  • Slim, attractive design
  • Strong performance
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Mediocre cameras
  • No IP rating

techradar[5]

Reviewer score 45% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro runs on ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 like most modern Oppo phones. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P95, this phone has AI and camera capabilities in its DNA, but fast performance is too much to expect. On the front, we have a 44MP primary selfie shooter and a 2MP depth sensor.
Pros
  • Excellent performance
  • Good battery life
  • Decent cameras
Cons
  • Underwhelming performance
  • Uninspired software
