Product Overview

Oppo Reno Z is a midrange smartphone that features high screen-to-body ratio and a strong main camera but with little extra "pork" at an attractive price point.
Part of the compromise to achieve this include a plastic chassis sandwiched between its glass front and back covers. On the plus side, the Reno Z boasts a 6.4-inch AMOLED display certified by TUV Rheinland. It has an optical under-display fingerprint sensor, too.
A main selling point of the Reno series is the camera performance. In the case of the Reno Z, there is a 48MP main unit with a 1/2" sensor and f/1.7 aperture.
On the battery front, the Reno Z supports 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging to complement its moderate 4035mAh battery.
The Reno Z joins the Reno, Reno 10x Zoom, and Reno 5G in Oppo's 2019 Reno lineup.

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Oppo Reno Z is one of the cheapest ‘Lite’ phones out there. It has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The Reno Z doesn't have a ‘tear-drop’ notch, but we can't see it being an issue for many people. It's not available in the US, but you can pick it up in most other regions.
Pros
  • Premium design
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No camera bump
  • No headphone jack

Reviewer score 59% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Oppo Reno Z has a 4-6GB RAM and runs ColorOS 6. It has a similar rear camera setup to the Motorola One Vision. The camera app is fairly stripped down, but it has most of the features you’d expect, including auto, panorama, night, portrait, slo-mo and Google Lens. There is no RAW shooting option, which will annoy enthusiasts.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Solid low-light camera performance
  • Solid battery life
Cons
  • Mediatek P90 CPU is annoying
  • No RAW shooting option
