Samsung HW-Q900A 7.1.2-Channel
SoundbarProduct Gallery
Product Overview
HW-Q900A is a premium 7.1.2-channel soundbar with wireless subwoofer in Samsung's 2021 Q-series. It is a successor to the HW-Q900T from 2020, adding primarily compatibility with the new SWA-9500S wireless rear speakers.
Compared to the HW-Q800A, which is a 3.1.2-channel soundbar for 2021, the HW-Q900A shares the same wireless subwoofer, but its main soundbar unit is significantly more sophisticated: The number of drivers is doubled from 8 to 16, adding virtual surround channels and virtual side channels that together deliver a virtual 7.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos experience.
The upgrade from the HW-Q900T mainly concerns the new wireless rear speakers that now have up-firing Dolby Atmos channels of their own, too
For those with plans for rear channels, however, Samsung also markets the HW-Q950A for 2021 that comes with wireless rear speakers.
