Samsung HW-A550 2.1-Channel
SoundbarProduct Gallery
Product Overview
HW-A550 is a 2.1-channel soundbar with wireless subwoofer in Samsung's 2021 lineup. It is essentially a power upgrade over the HW-T550 from 2020 from 320W to 410W.
Compared to the HW-A450, which is a more affordable 2.1-channel option, the HW-A550 supports DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Digital 5.1 for surround sound processing, just like its predecessor. It also adds HDMI connectivity.
The HW-A550 can be complemented by Samsung's new SWA-9100S wireless rear speakers to provide a surround sound experience.
Samsung also markets the HW-A650, which further adds a center channel driver.

Though it lacks a discrete center channel, its balanced mid-range can still reproduce dialogue clearly and accurately. There's a graphic EQ and presets as well as bass and treble adjustments available to help you customize its sound, and it gets pretty loud.
