Product Overview
HW-A450 is an entry-level 2.1-channel soundbar with wireless subwoofer in Samsung's 2021 lineup. It is essentially a power upgrade over the HW-T450 from 2020 from 200W to 300W.
Like its predecessor, the HW-A450 supports only simple Dolby Audio and Dolby Digital in two channels. The soundbar has only three drivers and supports only Bluetooth and optical connectivity. It can be complemented by Samsung's new SWA-9100S wireless rear speakers to provide a surround sound experience.
For those who wish for Dolby 5.1 and DTS Virtual support, Samsung also markets the HW-A550 and HW-A650 in its 2021 lineup.

Reviewer score 26%The Samsung A450 has a neutral sound profile suitable for a variety of audio content. While it has a touch of extra boom, it still lacks low-bass, so action movies and genres like EDM lack thump and rumble. The bar also doesn't support Dolby Atmos content, and its surround performance is poor.
