Product Overview

HW-S60A is an entry-level 5.0-channel all-in-one soundbar in Samsung's 2021 lineup. It is essentially the HW-S60T from 2020 with the addition of a center channel driver.
Like its predecessor, the HW-S60A supports Dolby Audio and DTS 5.1 but not more advanced surround sound processing. It features two side-firing horn speakers with Samsung Acoustic Beam that provide room-filling surround sound. They complement two tweeters and two woofers in an all-in-one design that is easy to place in any modern room.
The HW-S60A is compatible with Samsung's new SWA-9100S wireless rear speakers to provide more authentic surround sound experience.

Reviewer score 39% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Samsung HW-S60A is very good for dialogue-centric content like TV shows. Its balanced mid-range reproduces dialogue clearly and accurately. However, it lacks low-bass, so you don't feel the deep rumble in action-packed scenes. While it supports surround content, it doesn't offer a very immersive listening experience.
Pros
  • Well-balanced mid-range
  • Lots of sound enhancement features available
  • Great for dialogue-centric content
Cons
  • Lacks low-bass
  • Doesn't support Dolby Atmos
