7Artisans M28mm F1.4 is a wide-angle manual-focus lens for Leica's M-mount rangefinder cameras. It boasts a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture and a full-metal construction that resembles that of Leica's Summilux-M lens, including the famous red dot.
Indeed, the M28mm F1.4 has a similar optical design with that of Leica's offering, though it costs less than 1/10th the price. This includes one double-sided aspherical element, two ED elements, and three high refractive rare earth glass elements.
The moderate wide-angle field of view provided by the lens' 28mm focal length makes it a great option for general photography. In fact, this was the focal length chosen by most smartphones.
For Leica shooters, 7Artisans also offers several other M-mount lenses, including the M35mm F1.4, M35mm F5.6, and M75mm F1.25.
