Product Overview

Samsung Galaxy Book Go is an entry-level 14-inch always-connected laptop powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 compute platform. It follows the Galaxy Book S unveiled in 2019 but comes in at a much lower price point.
Some of the compromise with the Galaxy Book Go can be traced to its size and weight, coming in at 14.9mm and 1.38kg respectively. While these numbers used to wow consumers among yesteryear's laptops, they pale in comparison to what newer devices like the gram 14.
Part of the reason for its affordability is the new Qualcomm Snapdragon compute platform, which also affords the laptop with LTE or 5G connectivity as well as high efficiency. To this end, the Galaxy Book Go is able to deliver up to 18 hours of continuous use with a single charge.
Likewise, the Galaxy Book Go comes with limited storage and RAM options.

Reviewer score 53% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
Chrome for Windows-on-ARM was ready to hit the market two years ago, but Google refused to release it. Qualcomm said that Chrome's native ARM version works like a charm. The unimpressive 720p webcam, housed on the top bezel, is no different from other poor laptop cameras.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Good battery life
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Unimpressive webcam

notebookcheck[2]

Reviewer score 31% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The Galaxy Book Go can only be used outdoors on cloudy days or in shady areas. In strong ambient light or direct sunlight, the brightness is not high enough to display image content legibly. The display is not viewing-angle stable, which means that image content appears with clearly distorted colors when viewed from the side. The performance is sufficient to run applications within the mentioned scope.
Pros
  • Matte IPS display
  • Good battery life
  • Fast WLAN
Cons
  • Mediocre performance
  • Low contrast ratio
  • Slow WLAN

trustedreviews[3]

Reviewer score 45% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Galaxy Book Go comes with a 14-inch 1080p panel that offers mediocre performance, at best. A quoted brightness of 150 nits seems very low for a laptop this price, with most laptops aiming for 300 nits at least. With real-world use I found the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c and on-board Adreno 618 graphics combine to create something chronically slow. If you want a speedy Windows machine, you're going to have to pay more for the likes of the Surface Laptop Go.
Pros
  • Slim and light
  • Decent battery life
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Mediocre performance
  • No fingerprint reader
