Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE

Product Overview
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is a tuned-down version of the Galaxy Tab S7+ unveiled last year. It offers a mix of features found in the Tab S7 and the Tab S7+ and packs them in the same metal-glass chassis.
In particular, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE shares the display size of the Tab S7+ but chooses instead the WQXGA LCD panel found in the Tab S7. It is also thicker than the S7+, measuring the same as the Tab S7, but carries the battery capacity of the Tab S7+.
On the storage front, the Tab S7 FE comes with smaller storage and memory than the pair of tablets from 2020.
As before, DeX and the optional keyboard attachment instantly transform the S7 FE, offering a PC-like experience. It is likewise bundled with the improved S Pen with similar capabilities as the Galaxy Note20 series, allowing the user to navigate with ease or switch between multiple windows and programs.
At the same time, Samsung also refreshed the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, which is the tuned-down version of the Tab A7.

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE has a starting price of $530 (Wi-Fi only) The screen is the same size but switches from AMOLED to LCD. The processor drops from a Snapdragon 865 Plus to a Snapdragon 750G or Snapdragon 778G. For our money, the $599 Wi-Fi model with 6GB of RAM is the most sensible choice.
Pros
- Top-notch performance
- S Pen included
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- Mediocre speakers
- Slow Wi-Fi
gsmarena[2]
Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Galaxy Tab S7 FE isn't as deserving of the Fan Edition insignia as other Samsung devices, but it doesn't make it less of a tablet. We appreciated its premium metal design, large and high-res screen with excellent contrast, the good speakers and the long battery life it provides. It has most of the cool S-Pen tricks, and it can do 5G should you opt for the cellular version.
Pros
- Premium metal design
- High-res screen
- Good speakers
- Long battery life
Cons
- No fingerprint scanner
- No 5G
- No headphone jack

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Galaxy Tab S7 FE is a compelling tablet for those who don't want to pay a premium for a large display. It has a gorgeous panel, outstanding battery life, and a design that feels as luxe as its pricier counterparts. But there are some notable drawbacks preventing it from being the obvious pick under the armor.
Pros
- Gorgeous display
- Excellent battery life
- Beautiful design
Cons
- No fingerprint sensor
- No 5G support

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Galaxy Tab S7 FE is a versatile and pleasant tablet thanks to the S Pen and large form factor. However, it is not something that replaces a full-fledged computer in my opinion. The 10,090 mAh battery is able to last the distance. The tablet remains pleasantly cool even under heavy use.
Pros
- Large display
- Good battery life
- Decent performance
Cons
- No Air Gestures
- No USB Type-C port
notebookcheck[5]
Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Galaxy Tab S7 FE uses two good-sounding speakers. Bluetooth can be used wirelessly for media playback. The 10,090 mAh capacity battery can be recharged in pretty much exactly 3 hours and 15 minutes. Despite the low power consumption of the Snapdragon 750G, the Samsung tablet's power consumption is quite high under load.
Pros
- High-quality IPS panel
- Very long battery runtimes
- Long battery life
Cons
- Slow SoC
- No fingerprint scanner
- No 3.5mm jack
pcmag[6]
Reviewer score 88% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE gets a lot right. It has an excellent build quality, comes with an S Pen in the box, and gets years of OS upgrades. It just isn't as powerful as its pricier competitors. If you're hoping to use it as a laptop replacement, you'll probably want to spend more on a Galaxy S7+.
Pros
- Excellent build quality
- Excellent performance
- S Pen in the box
- Good battery life
Cons
- S Pen isn't as powerful as Apple Pencil
techradar[7]
Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE has a 10,900mAh battery that lasts us throughout an eight-hour workday. Wi-Fi connectivity was great: we were able to roam around our entire house during video calls without any drops or freezes. Video and voice quality was excellent on both ends, even without using headphones. There's also a serviceable rear camera for scanning the occasional document or capturing a visual note of something.
Pros
- S Pen support
- Good battery life
- Long-lasting battery
Cons
- Poor keyboard layout
- No trackpad
whathifi[8]
Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Galaxy Tab S7 FE’s sound is really quite impressive by prevailing tablet standards, particularly when it comes to movies. The spaciousness doesn’t come without directness, and voices are well projected and clear. Motion, while broadly good, occasionally exhibits a bit of judder and blur that the iPad Air largely keeps in check. While the brightness of the presentation is exciting, black depth is rather lacking and a fair amount of detail is clipped out of bright highlights.
Pros
- Big, punchy screen
- Bright and punchy sound
- Great battery life
Cons
- No trackpad
- No headphone jack
