Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A6A is a premium 9.2-channel AV Receiver that shares much of the same design and feature set with the RX-A8A. It supplements a single ESS SABRE ES9026PRO Ultra DAC with an ESS SABRE ES9007S DAC and supports 4K 120fps, 8K 60fps, and HDR10+ video via HDCP 2.3 and eARC.
Like the RX-A8A, the RX-A6A offers complete support for popular audio and video processing protocols. It also comes with XLR connections alongside conventional RCA ports and features an integrated phono stage. The RX-A6A is also able to output 150W into 8 ohms (2 channels driven).
A new aspect of the AVENTAGE RX-A6A is the design update that Yamaha has introduced across the lineup. The design is now simpler, with a high-resolution LCD display and touch sensitive buttons taking prominent stage.
With this update comes Yamaha's effort to integrate more smart features such as MusicCast multi-room audio, AirPlay 2, and Spotify Connect as well as all major voice assistants. They are aided by WiFi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
Another AV receiver debuted at the same time is the RX-A4A.
