Product Overview

Dell Latitude 9520 is the most powerful model in Dell's 2021 Latitude lineup. Designed for business professionals, the Latitude 9520 is similarly built as the XPS 15 9510 but is smaller and lighter and comes with more I/O options.
The successor to the Latitude 9510 from 2020, the 9520 also comes in both conventional clamshell and 2-in-1 convertible form factors. This year, however, the clamshell model gains an optional 4K UHD IPS display. Otherwise, the choice of a 2-in-1 only incurs a slight weight penalty, as the laptop can be configured identically otherwise.
As a departure for 2021, the Latitude 9520 uses low-powered Intel 11th-gen Tiger Lake processors rather than the mid-powered units from last year. While some manufactures are moving their lineup in this segment into 16" with 16:10 aspect ratio, Dell has not redesigned the Latitude 9520 yet.
Others upgrades from last year include Thunderbolt 4 and LPDDR4x-4266 memory.

Reviewer score 59% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The main selling point of the Latitude 9520 2-in-1 is its significantly faster integrated graphics performance. The older UHD Graphics 620 has been made obsolete now that Iris Xe is becoming more common. We recommend looking at other Tiger Lake-U laptops like the MSI Summit E13 Flip or HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8.
Pros
  • Slim bezels
  • High-contrast IPS display
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • Steady GPU performance when gaming
  • Slow Wi-Fi
  • No Thunderbolt 3

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Dell Latitude 9520 2-in-1 underwhelmed in PCMark 10 and Photoshop. It posted a solid score in Geekbench, but trailed in Handbrake and Cinebench. The Latitude showed admirable battery life and adequate color fidelity and brightness.
Pros
  • Sleek, lightweight design
  • Excellent battery life
  • Solid performance
Cons
  • No 4K screen option
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port
