Product Overview

Dyson Corrale is a luxury cordless hair straightener that joins the Airwrap and Supersonic in Dyson's premium hair-care lineup. Unlike most Dyson products, it does not use any electric motor.
Still, the Corrale features a similar intelligent heat sensor system that regulates the temperature of the plates—at 100 times per second—that ensures constant power and prevent heat damage.
Thanks to a 4-cell lithium-ion battery, the Dyson Corrale is able to deliver up to 30 minutes of battery life.

External Reviews

cnet[1]

Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
At the lowest setting, the Corrale took just 22 seconds to reach 330 degrees. With the temperature set at 330, it took me around 10 minutes to complete my look for both straight and curly styles. Dyson advertises this as a straightener that uses less heat, but don't expect it to solve heat damage issues.
Pros
  • Easy to use
  • Adjustable temperature settings
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Expensive for a straightener

digitaltrends[2]

Reviewer score 46% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
At 76.2 ounces, the Dyson Corrale is almost five times heavier than your typical straightener. The battery lasts for 30 minutes, and that isn't long enough for some of us to do our hair. There are plenty of less expensive, quality cordless straighteners that weigh less, like the Conair Unbound Cordless Flat Iron.
Pros
  • Works for 30 minutes without being plugged in
  • Lightweight and easy to use
Cons
  • Heavy and heavy
  • Charging takes a while

techradar[3]

Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Dyson Corrale is heavy, unattractive and difficult to use. It takes an hour and 10 minutes to charge to full capacity, or a 40-minute charge will give you 90 percent. Despite having the corded option we barely used it, beyond testing it for the purposes of this review. The GHD Platinum Plus has set a benchmark for how good a pair of straighteners can be.
Pros
  • Corded and cordless
  • Easy to use
  • Great results when used corded
Cons
  • Cable is fiddly
  • Cable can be difficult to use
