Product Overview

Dyson Supersonic is a luxury smart hairdryer powered by Dyson's digital motor V9 that delivers up to 41L/s air flow despite its compact size. It is also able to measure air temperature over 40 times per second to adjust the heat output to prevent heat damage.
The Dyson Supersonic comes with several nozzles that match every hair styling task: the Styling Concentrator focuses the airflow and increases pressure, the Diffuser disperses air evenly and simulates natural drying, the Smoothing Nozzle creates a smooth and natural finish, the Gentle Air attachment is more gentle to sensitive scalps, and the Wide Tooth Comb attachment combines the comb with the airflow.
Dyson also sells a 23.75-karat gold-plated version of the Supersonic that comes with an exclusive leather presentation case.

Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
The new Dyson Supersonic Flyaway Attachment aims to do away with 'flyaway frustration' Using the Coanda effect, which is the same principle used in the Dyson Airwrap styler, to tame unruly hair with airflow alone. The diffuser has longer prongs that reached deeper into our hair, getting closer to the roots for better circulation.
Pros
  • Sleek, lightweight design
  • Easy to maintain
  • Very quiet in use
Cons
  • Might not be for everyone

techradar[2]

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Dyson Supersonic doesn't look like a traditional hair dryer, nor does it work like one. Its design makes it easy and comfortable to use, it has been expertly engineered to be incredibly quick while being surprisingly quiet. The attachments themselves are the usual suspects: a standard wide nozzle, a narrower nozzle for smoothing and a wide diffuser for curly hair. It's the fact that they attach magnetically which makes them interesting. Magnetizing the dryer's attachments is a simple design change, but it makes fitting and removing them a much smoother process.
Pros
  • Extremely quiet
  • Easy to use
  • Very quiet
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other hair dryers
