Product Overview
EcoTank 114 Ink series is a refill ink for Epson's new 6-ink EcoTank photo printers. It comprises a pigment black ink (PB) and five dye-based inks in photo black (K), cyan (C), magenta (M), yellow (Y), and grey (GY).
The EcoTank 114 is known as Epson Claria ET Premium ink, which clearly states its relationship to Epson's premium Claria-branded photo ink cartridges: While traditionally inks for ink tank printers are markedly inferior to these premium cartridges, Epson is hinting at an improvement with this release, though we can still expect it to be holding some edge back to avoid cannibalization.
At its heart, the EcoTank 114, like the printers for which it is designed, targets home printing. These printers use a special type of Micro Piezo print heads that produce smaller droplet sizes down to 1.5pl.
