Gigabyte AORUS Model X AMD is an ATX desktop gaming computer powered by AMD's Ryzen 9 5900X CPU and NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3080 graphics. Compared to the compact Model S unveiled at the same time, the Model X uses the X570 chipset and comes with a much more extensive set of expansion and storage options.
Within its more conventional, stained-glass-paneled case, the Model S packs 32GB of DDR4 3600MHz (XMP) memory. The computer is, unexpectedly, water-cooled by a 360mm cooler.
AMD's 5900X based on the latest Zen 3 architecture comes with 12 cores and 24 threads and offers support for all the latest peripherals running at full speed. The efficient water-cooling system ensures that the unlocked Ryzen 9 5900X can be overclocked easily while maintaining stability and low noise emission.
NVIDIA's RTX 3080 graphics offers the best performance per buck in the series for today's games. Based on the all-new Ampere architecture, it is significantly more powerful and efficient than the RTX 20 series.
Another key feature of the Model X is the inclusion of an ESS Sabre ES9118 reference DAC. It gives gamers a more immersive experience and is a great feature for entertainment.
Naturally, the AORUS Model X comes with 2.5Gbps LAN, WiFi 6, and USB 3.2 Gen2 connectivity.
Gigabyte has also introduced an Intel-powered variant of the Model X alongside this model.
