Product Overview
MSI RTX 3060 AERO ITX is a single-fan compact graphics card based on NVIDIA's RTX 3060. Sharing the same design with the RTX 3060 Ti version, this AERO ITX card is the most compact model with a RTX 30-series GPU, requiring only a single 8-pin power connector a drawing a maximum of 170W only.
MSI also markets a factory-overclocked variant, the RTX 3060 Aero ITX OC, that is otherwise identical.
The diminutive size of the Aero ITX means that MSI has does away with the extra metal support bracket, though the card still features a metal backplate. It also loses RGB lighting. As its name suggests, the Aero ITX is optimized for for builds limited by space and/or power. While the stripped-down GPU has fewer CUDA Cores compared to higher-powered RTX 30-series cards, it is still an improvement over the previous-gen GPUs. The 2nd-gen Raytracing Cores and 3rd-gen Tensor Cores further make it an interesting choice for price-sensitive buyers.
For where such condition does not apply, MSI also offers the RTX 3060 in several 2-fan and 3-fan models that have higher thermal head rooms and are able to deliver better performance.
