Reviewer score 62%The OnePlus Buds are an admirable debut and a no-brainer for OnePlus smartphone users. They provide enough performance to make any cheap wireless earbuds but also come with trade-offs. You will need to be in silent settings to enjoy the best sound quality possible. Fast Charge, OnePlus' quick-charging technology, generates 10 hours of charge in 10 minute.

nextpit[2]
Reviewer score 66%The OnePlus Buds have a 35 mAh battery in each earpiece and 430 mAh for the charging box. The manufacturer claims to deliver up to 7 hours listening time, 4.5 hours on call and a total of 30 hours with the box, which is capable of three full recharges. The open-fit design simply sits in the concha of the ear without burrowing itself into the ear canal.

Pros
- Very good sound quality
- Very good battery life
- Compact case
Cons
- No active noise reduction
- No IPX4 water resistant certification
pcmag[3]
Reviewer score 74%White and gray are available worldwide, with a striking pale blue option in a blue-and-green case. The earbuds each have 13.4mm drivers with the usual 20Hz-20Khz frequency response. A 10-minute charge in the case adds 100 minutes of playback, while a full charge takes a bit more than an hour.

- Easy to use
- Long battery life
Cons
- No noise cancellation
- No volume control
phonearena[4]
Reviewer score 78%The sound from the OnePlus Buds is rich, clear and full, while the surrounding world is properly silenced. Both earbuds feature little touch-sensitive "discs" that can be used for controlling your music. The Buds' case sports a USB Type-C port for wired charging, with a bit over an hour to fully charge the case and the buds.

Pros
- Comfortable fit
- Good sound quality
- Good battery life
Cons
- No rubber tips
- No active noise cancelling
rtings[5]
Reviewer score 17%The OnePlus Buds are middling for mixed usage. Their bright sound profile lacks a lot of low-bass, which may be disappointing for fans of neutral sound. They're stable enough for low-intensity workouts, but they may not stay in your ears while you're at the gym. Their integrated microphone has a disappointing recording quality, so your voice sounds boxy.

Pros
- Stable and portable design
- Decently comfortable
- Compatible with Bluetooth-enabled PCs
Cons
- Mediocre sound profile
- Poor noise isolation performance
- Disappointing mic recording quality
techadvisor[6]
Reviewer score 69%The OnePlus Buds have a 13.4mm dynamic driver in each bud. This is the largest driver OnePlus has used yet in its headphones, and it allows the Buds to offer bass oomph that outclasses its predecessors. Outside of music, there's support for Dolby Atmos - the same tech coming to Apple's £249/$249 AirPods Pro via software update later this year. The earbuds and case combined offer a total of 30 hours of battery life.

Pros
- Impressive battery life
- Impressive noise cancellation
- Good call quality
Cons
- No wireless charging
- No active noise cancellation
techradar[7]
Reviewer score 84%The OnePlus Buds are among the cheapest true wireless earbuds out there from a top-tier phone company. With support for Dolby Atmos coming to in an OTA update to the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 8, they're an even better value if you own a OnePlus phone. The little noise isolation and lack of active noise cancellation sour your experience if you're fussy about the fit.

Pros
- Great sound quality
- Great battery life
- Excellent noise cancellation
Cons
- Noise cancellation isn’t as good as Apple’s
theverge[8]
Reviewer score 65%Without an in-ear seal, the sound still falls short of the low-end oomph you'll hear from the Bullets Wireless 2 neckband earbuds or our top true wireless picks. The Buds can reach up to seven hours of continuous battery life. They're rated IPX4 water resistant, so they can withstand sweat and some splashes of water.

Pros
- Sleek design
- Good sound quality
- Good battery life
Cons
- No wireless charging
- Limited controls
tomsguide[9]
Reviewer score 65%The OnePlus Buds are a reliable and long-lasting pair of truly wireless earbuds. They're also very reasonably priced, in true OnePlus fashion. Unfortunately, unlike the company's smartphones, they don't outperform alternatives that cost more and so they're just decent for the price.

Pros
- Sleek design
- Comfortable fit
- Good battery life
Cons
- Bass can be overpowering
- No wireless charging
