Product Overview
LG SP2 is an entry-level all-in-one soundbar with a built-in subwoofer in LG's 2021 soundbar lineup. Unlike its stablemates, the SP2 uses a more elegant design language with cloth grills and wood side panels.
The SP2 comes with just three speakers, including one full-range driver for the left and right channels and a race track subwoofer aided by dual passive radiators.
Also unlike many contemporary LG soundbars, the SP2 is not designed to accommodate optional wireless rear speakers. Hence, it drops digital surround sound processing features, leaving only Dolby Digital under support.
To reach a more affordable price point, the SP2 also drops built-in voice assistants.
For those interested in a more feature-rich alternative, LG's 2021 soundbar lineup also comprises the 5.1-channel SP7Y, the 3.1.2-channel SPD7Y and SP8YA, the 5.1.2-channel SP9YA, and the 7.1.4-channel SP11RA.
