Product Overview

The Xperia 10 III is the affordable option in Sony's 2021 premium smartphone lineup. Powered by Snapdragon 690 5G chipset, it shares some features with the Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III introduced at the same time.
On the display front, the Xperia 10 III sticks to the same OLED unit identical to that in the Xperia 10 II. This is different from the upgrades that the two higher-powered models enjoy this year.
On the camera front, Sony is introducing some tweaks, even though the overall setup remains unchanged.
On the audio front, audiophiles will be delighted to find the 3.5mm headphone jack still lives on.

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from gsmarena have found:
The Xperia 10 III is one of the most compact devices you can find in the midrange. It has full IP65/IP68 water protection and is also the best-in-class sealing in class. The tele camera does have the same off colors that it exhibits in stills. Video stabilization is available in all modes.
Pros
  • Excellent build quality
  • Good battery life
  • Good performance
Cons
  • No IP65/68 water resistance
  • No stereo speakers

notebookcheck[2]

Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The Sony Xperia 10 III is a powerful mid-range smartphone that shows some weaknesses in the cameras. The upgrade to UFS storage was overdue but increases the overall impression significantly. In addition, there is a long battery life and an audio port, which is not a given anymore and carries the label of High-Res audio with some good justification.
Pros
  • Fast UFS 2.1 storage
  • Long battery life
  • Good camera performance
  • Fast Wi-Fi
Cons
  • No 5G
  • Slow WLAN
  • Weak charger

trustedreviews[3]

Reviewer score 45% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
Sony has given the Xperia 10 III a considerable speed boost over last year’s Xperia 10 II. It has a newer Snapdragon 690 5G chip and a 50% increase in RAM to 6GB. Selfies from the 8MP front camera are a little on the soft side, and tend to struggle with HDR implementation. The phone is capable of 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps.
Pros
  • Bigger, brighter 60Hz display
  • Good battery life
  • 5G connectivity
Cons
  • No OIS
  • No wireless charging
