External Reviews
pcmag[1]
Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)The ProArt B550-Creator fills a very specific market niche. It's not the first AMD motherboard to boast Thunderbolt support. But it's one of only a handful, and its two Thunderbolt 4 ports are rare even among Intel boards. If you have no use for Thunderbolt 4, plenty of AMD B550 motherboards otherwise have feature parity.
Pros
- Two Thunderbolt 4 ports
- Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports
- Easy to use
Cons
- Only four SATA 3.0 ports
- Only four M.2 Key M slots for fast SSDs

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)Asus strapped a 14-phase (12+2) configuration on to the B550 Creator. The 600A available to the CPU isn't the most we've seen with this class of board. The B550 platform just doesn't have enough lanes to go around between Thunderbolt, storage, and PCIe lanes.
Pros
- Two M.2 sockets
- Two PCIe x1 slots
- USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C
Cons
- No Thunderbolt 3.0 x4
- Latching mechanism is a pain to use
