SteelSeries Aerox 3
MouseProduct Gallery
Product Overview
SteelSeries Aerox 3 is a mid-range wired gaming mouse that shares its hollowed outer case design as well as three-zone RGB lighting with the Aerox 3 Wireless unveiled at the same time.
However, the wired Aerox 3 uses a different, TrueMove Core sensor with reduced resolution range and lower maximum resolution. Maximum acceleration is also reduced.
On the pro side, its lightweight frame is further lightened to just 57g. This is aided by the mouse's unique outer case that is hollowed out as well as a miniaturized electronics components.
Like it is with the Aerox 3 Wireless, SteelSeries promises IP54-rated AquaBarrier Protection, ensuring water and dust resistance in a segment-first feat.

rtings[1]
Reviewer score 37% (normalized by Neofiliac)The SteelSeries Aerox 3 is great for FPS games. It's lightweight, and it has an ambidextrous shape that's reasonably comfortable to use. The build quality is good overall, but the body flexes and creaks when squeezed. There's a decent number of buttons, but it might not be enough for some MMO players.

tomshardware[2]
Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)The SteelSeries Aerox 3 weighs 2.08 ounces. The TrueMove Core optical sensor is rated for a sensitivity of 200 - 8,500 counts per inch. The cable is sufficiently long (6 feet) for connecting to a PC underneath or across a larger desk. Customizing the three RGB zones can get intricate, thanks to the numerous effects.
Pros
- Easy-to-use clicker
- Lightweight design
- Easy to use
Cons
- Not for everyone
