Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
SteelSeries' new TrueMove Air sensor tracks up to 18,000 DPI and is accurate at up to 400 inches per second. The Rival 3 Wireless supports both the gaming-standard 2.4 GHz connection via USB dongle and Bluetooth wireless. SteelSeries Engine puts every feature and tweak, from button mapping and lighting customization to power-saving settings, on a single screen.
Pros
  • Excellent battery life
  • New TrueMove Air sensor is accurate at up to 400 inches per second
  • Easy-to-use SteelSeries Engine configuration app
Cons
  • Lacks onboard profile storage

rtings[2]

Reviewer score 50% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless is a good mouse for FPS gaming. Its ambidextrous design is best suited for a claw or fingertip grip. Its click latency is low enough for casual gaming, but competitive gamers may find it too unresponsive. It's a decent option for fans of ultra-light gaming mice, but it's fairly heavy.
Pros
  • Ambidextrous design
  • Feels excellently built
  • Comfortable enough for long gaming sessions
Cons
  • Scroll wheel doesn't have L/R tilt buttons
  • No thumb wheel for horizontal scrolling
  • Not as ergonomic as other gaming mice

tomsguide[3]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The right-handed Rival 3 Wireless is powered by two AAA batteries (included) The mouse works well for claw and fingertip grip styles, though the slimmer buttons don't offer that satisfying, tactile clickiness you might find in larger mice. The mouse proved comfortable and capable for long gameplay sessions, and it was nice to not have to worry about a cord getting tangled up during my quest for world domination.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Easy-to-use software
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Software can be a bit convoluted

tomshardware[4]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless has a compelling shape, seemingly durable build and numerous quality-of-life features. SteelSeries claims the mouse offers year-long battery life when using two AAA batteries. Unfortunately, the mouse isn't as easy to use as SteelSeries' Engine 3 software.
Pros
  • Sturdy, durable design
  • Long battery life
  • Solid build quality
Cons
  • No on-mouse indicator
  • In-game notifications are a little buried
