External Reviews
tomsguide[1]
Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Apex 7 looks almost identical to the Apex Pro, but the two are almost identical. There's something about the SteelSeries key design that just doesn't jive with the way I type. It's worth considering if per-key actuation holds no special appeal for you, but it's also worth considering the competition if you're not particularly devoted to SteelSeries gear.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Easy to use
- Comfortable keyboard
Cons
- Keyboard feels spongy
- No volume dial
tomshardware[2]
Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)Apex 7's RGB lighting is controlled with the same SteelSeries Engine 3 software. There isn't as much customizability with the Apex 7 as there is the Apex Pro. For anyone who only has a passing interest in RGB lighting, not having to install additional software could be the best justification for the OLED Smart Display.
Pros
- Sleek, attractive design
- Built-in RGB lighting
- Comfortable wrist rest
Cons
- No OmniPoint switches
- Limited customization options
