Product Overview
ASUS ROG Strix Scope RX is the first mechanical gaming keyboard to feature ROG's RX Optical Mechanical Switches. Similar to the optical switches in Razer's high-end models, the ROG RX Optical Mechanical Switches offer 100 million keystroke life span. They offer a linear actuation with a short 1.5mm actuation distance.
The ROG Strix Scope RX also comes with IP56 water and dust resistance. For extra structural rigidity, it also has a durable aluminum alloy top plate.
For convenience, the ROG Strix Scope RX has USB 2.0 pass through that makes it easy to connect other USB devices such as a wired mouse or flash drive.
The ROG Strix Scope RX is based on the ROG Strix Scope with Cherry MX switches, which also comes in a tenkeyless version.

It offers five user-managed profiles, as well as a default profile that can all be accessed via the F1-F6 keys. Much of the keyboard's additional functionality can be managed right on-keyboard, too.

Cons
- Slightly grippy keycaps
trustedreviews[3]
Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Scope uses Asus’ first opto-mechanical design, and the ROG RX Red switches inside this keyboard offer an impressive array of specifications. There are no media or macro keys; media options are relegated to the function row. There’s no travel sleeve and the 1.8m cable isn’t detachable. The combination of optical speed and conventional travel distances makes for an impressive keyboard.
Pros
- Fast and responsive buttons
- Excellent build quality
- Fantastic performance
Cons
- No media or macro keys
- No wrist-rest
