Product Overview

Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+ is a refinement of the Melomania 1 released in 2019. It now adds longer battery life and USB-C fast charging capabilities as well as new app controls to the award-winning formula.
Like the Melomania 1, the Melomania 1+ is IPX5 certified against moisture. Each earbud weighs just 4.6g, while the charging case adds less than 37g. The battery life provided by the charging case is increased from 36 to 41 hours, making the combined battery life a full 50 hours in low power mode.
The Melomania 1+ likewise features Cambridge Audio's 5.8mm graphene-enhanced drivers.

Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 Plus true wireless earbuds have incredibly well-tuned sound. A punchy low-end paired with a crisp treble and wide soundstage made for energetic, rich audio. Each bud lasts about 9 hours of music while the case provides an extra 41 hours on low power mode - that's a total of 50 hours! They are IPX5 splash and dust resistant so they can handle a small amount of sweat or light rain.
Pros
  • Superb sound quality
  • Great battery life
  • Easy to use app
Cons
  • No active noise cancelling

Reviewers from techradar have found:
Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 Plus wireless earbuds are a step up on their predecessors. Boasting 5.8mm dynamic drivers, they offer tons of dynamism and character. There's no noise cancellation on offer here, but the sound isolation is very good, provided you find a good fit with the eartips included in the box. Connectivity comes courtesy of Bluetooth 5, with support for AAC and AACX.
Pros
  • Excellent sound quality
  • Excellent battery life
  • Easy to use app
Cons
  • Bulky design
  • No active noise cancellation

tomsguide[3]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Melomania 1 Plus have a full charge generating 9 hours of use. In low Power mode, playtimes are some of the highest in the category. Bluetooth 5.0 operates reliably at 30 feet; stepping out of this distance will cause audio stuttering or dropped calls. Craftsmanship is sharp, plus having 45 hours of playtime is awesome.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Excellent sound quality
  • Excellent call quality
Cons
  • No ANC
  • No multi-device pairing

whathifi[4]

Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from whathifi have found:
Pairing is easy using the handy quick start guide. Only one earpiece needs to be paired on your device. In the default High-Performance mode, you'll get seven hours from a charge or 35 hours in total courtesy of four more blasts from the case. Free Melomania app is now considerably more stable than it used to be.
Pros
  • Sleek, compact design
  • Excellent sound quality
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • Noise-cancelling and teardrop design
