Product Overview

MSI Summit B15 is the low-powered derivative of the flagship 15.6-inch Summit E15 business laptop. It retains the same 11th-gen Intel Core U-series processors but drops the discrete graphics. The same compact aluminum chassis and exterior design is likewise carried over.
Other compromises from the E15 include the loss of the 4K UHD display option, the reduction of Thunderbolt 4 port count to only one, and the shrinkage of the battery size to 52Wh. Still, the B15 continues to feature DDR4 3200MHz memory and M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 SSDs.
Alongside the Summit B15 and E15, MSI also introduced a comparably-specified 14-inch Summit B14 and E14.
While the Summit series sit at the top of MSI's laptop lineup, Prestige and Modern series round up the range.

notebookcheck[1]

Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Keys feel firmer and deeper than on the XPG Xenia Xe and Dell XPS 15, respectively, but clatter is slightly louder as a result. The clickpad is the same size as the one on the Modern 15 (10.5 x 6.5 cm) with the same smooth texture and spongy feedback. Power consumption is low especially when compared to last year's Modern 15.
Pros
  • Slim, light, and lightweight chassis
  • Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C ports
  • Sleek, lightweight design
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 4 support
  • No Thunderbolt 3 support

theverge[2]

Reviewer score 60% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from theverge have found:
MSI's Summit B15 is a 15-inch business laptop that costs $1,249. The screen is functional, but it's too dim to use easily in bright settings. The integrated Iris Xe graphics aren't suitable for serious gaming. The audio from the B15's two speakers isn't terrible for video calls.
Pros
  • Light, attractive design
  • Good performance
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Mushy keyboard keys
  • Mediocre audio
  • No Thunderbolt 3
