OnePlus 7T Pro

Product Overview
OnePlus 7T Pro is a flagship smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. A refinement of the 7 Pro released 5 months earlier, the 7T Pro keeps the same notch-less OLED QHD+ display and the three-camera setup.
Essentially, the 7T Pro differs from the 7 Pro primarily in the Snapdragon 855+ processor with a higher clock speed. It also supports the new 30T fast charging.
Compared to the OnePlus 7T, the 7T Pro offers most of what the 7 Pro offered with the improved processor. Due to the limited difference, however, OnePlus is only marketing the 7T Pro in select markets.

Reviewer score 97% (normalized by Neofiliac)The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is not what I expected at all, but the Speedtail is not a traditional type of car we've seen from McLaren either. The design here is more traditional, with carbon fiber sides flanking a soft, tactile piece of Alcantara running down the center. There's no question the phone looks fabulous in its gloss black finish, which really emphasizes the curve of the screen, but what about the speed? The same Snapdragon 855 Plus processor is inside but here it's paired with a massive 12GB of RAM.
Pros
- Incredible performance
- Incredible battery life
- Fast charging
Cons
- Not as powerful as the 7T Pro
- No headphone jack

Reviewer score 88% (normalized by Neofiliac)The main camera managed to pick up fairly good detail, but shadow regions did have a bit of noise. Focusing speed dipped a little and there were instances when the focus in landscapes and close-ups was too soft. The camera app is clutter-free and easy to navigate. It features an excellent display, good stereo sound, very good software, and useful camera capabilities.
Pros
- Premium design
- Excellent display
- Good stereo sound
- Good battery life
Cons
- Poor low-light video quality
- No wireless charging or IP-rated waterproofing
nextpit[3]
Reviewer score 93% (normalized by Neofiliac)The OnePlus 7T Pro is fitted with stereo speakers, thanks to a conversion loudspeaker, coupled with Dolby Atmos technology. There is no headphone jack and no USB-C to 3.5mm dongle included in the box. You'll be going down the Bluetooth route to get your audio on this device. The experience during my review period was silky smooth, whether I was in the camera app, multi-tasking of trying to push the phone to the limits of its performance.
Pros
- 90 Hz display
- Good performance
- Good battery life
Cons
- No headphone jack
- No IP certification
notebookcheck[4]
Reviewer score 93% (normalized by Neofiliac)The McLaren smartphone offers great value thanks to its processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ and a 90 Hz display. The main camera can take 48-megapixel shots, but in the standard settings four pixels are always combined to form a large, highly light-sensitive pixel. The retractable front camera is an eye-catcher and also makes good selfies.
Pros
- 90 Hz display
- Good battery life
- Fast WLAN
- Good cameras
Cons
- No IP certification
- Slow WLAN
pcmag[5]
Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)At $899.99, the McLaren is more expensive than the $799.99 LG V60 ThinQ 5G. But it's less expensive than any of the Galaxy S20 series. Low-band 5G is the least impressive form of 5G, with only slight improvements over 4G.
Pros
- Slim bezels
- Excellent performance
- Good battery life
Cons
- No wireless charging
- No 5G support
techadvisor[6]
Reviewer score 90% (normalized by Neofiliac)The OnePlus 7T Pro runs OxygenOS 10 based on Android 10 out of the box. The Nightscape mode is back, but this time around you're able to switch between the main 48Mp snapper and the ultra-wide 16Mp camera. Super Stable shooting mode uses the wide-angle lens (although the crop makes it almost unnoticeable) and provides an incredibly smooth experience.
Pros
- Gorgeous design
- Beautiful 90Hz display
- Great camera performance
Cons
- No triple-camera setup
- No IP rating
techradar[7]
Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)The OnePlus 7T Pro can take some good-looking shots, but it doesn't have the best camera we've seen on a smartphone. The rear camera array is a triple-camera setup, with a 48MP main snapper joined by 16MP ultra-wide-angle and 8MP telephoto options. The pop-up selfie camera is 16MP, but while that number looks good on paper, it isn't the most impressive selfie camera. We found the battery life to be pretty impressive, and if you're after a device that can last you a full day without needing a recharge this will suit you perfectly.
Pros
- Beautiful 90Hz display
- Great battery life
- Fast charging
Cons
- Not the best camera
- No wireless charging
tomsguide[8]
Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)Picking up the OnePlus 7T Pro feels instantly familiar to anyone who's held the 7 Pro. The new phone remains large and heavy like its predecessor, around the size of a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus or an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Up front, you get a 16MP selfie camera in a pop-up module. You now have access to NightScape mode and a new macro mode with the ultrawide lens.
Pros
- Bigger and lighter than the original 7 Pro
- Improved camera performance
- Great battery life
Cons
- No 12GB storage option

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)The OnePlus 7T Pro has the same 48-megapixel main, 8- megapixel telephoto and 16-megapixels wide-angle sensors as its predecessor. The only big difference is that there’s a new and improved macro mode that OnePlus claims will let you capture usable images of things that are a meagre 2.5cm away. Shots taken in regular light look great. They aren’t overprocessed generally look sharp and have suitably realistic colours. The snappy autofocus also makes it fairly pleasant to shoot on. But it still fails to match key rivals, such as the Huawei P30 Pro and Pixel 3a XL in low light.
Pros
- Fantastic 90Hz display
- Great battery life
Cons
- Camera isn’t great
- Not the best camera
