Product Overview

The 4th-gen Kia Carnival is a full-size minivan sharing the same platform with the Kia Sorento and Telluride crossovers and the K5 and Hyundai Sonata sedans. It offers spacious interior space and cargo capacity comparable to more established minivan models such as the Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Odyssey, and Toyota Sienna.
Kia has endowed the new Carnival with three engine options, two 3.5L V6 petrols and one 2.2L I4 diesel. One of the V6 uses multi-port injection only, while the second unit combines direct injection with port injection: it is the only engine available in the US.
Outside, the Carnival shares many design features with Kia's latest crossovers (SUVs) with more presence that one would traditionally expect from a minivan.
Inside, the new Kia Carnival features a range of seating configurations, including Slide-Flex 2nd-Row seating and VIP Lounge Seating. This delivers up to 168.2 cu-ft of passenger room and 145.1 cu-ft of cargo space.
Technology-wise, the 4th-gen Carnival supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and most of the modern convenience features that consumers have come to expect from this class of vehicles. It also comes with 12 standard Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features, the most in the segment.
