True Wireless EarbudsProduct Gallery
Product Overview
LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 are true wireless headphones that come with an innovative UVnano self-sanitizing charging case. Beyond this feature, they are identical to the HBS-FN5W, which in term adds wireless charging to the HBS-FN4.
These headphones feature a new canal-type design for a more comfortable fit. They come with Meridian's Headphone Spatial Processing (HSP) technology that recreates a realistic sound stage and delivers pristine clarity. Noise reduction with echo cancellation make listening a more enjoying process without ANC, while an ambient sound mode makes conversations easy to carry out.
For long listening sessions, the TONE Free HBS-FN6 uses soft, medical-grade ear pads made from hypoallergenic silicone. The headphones are also IPX4 water resistant. The 6-hour battery life and fast charging that gives 1 hour of play time in just 5 minutes make the HBS-FN6 a versatile option.

External Reviews
digitaltrends[1]
Reviewer score 47% (normalized by Neofiliac)The LG Tone Free may have a slight edge in sound, but not enough to overlook everything else the RHA TrueConnect 2 does better for the exact same $150. LG says it uses technologies dubbed Echo Cancellation and Noise Reduction to detect and minimize unwanted noise. Just don't expect these traits and the minimal passive noise cancellation created by the fit of the buds to mirror the kind of experience true active noise cancellation provides.
Pros
- Good sound quality
- Good battery life
- Good noise cancellation
Cons
- Noise cancellation isn’t as effective as competitors

Reviewer score 57% (normalized by Neofiliac)The LG Tone Free headphones are available in black and white. The in-ear headphones are inserted into the ear canal and come with three different attachments. LG claims six hours of runtime with only one charge, which is almost reached in our test. The gesture control works very well and reliably in the test.
Pros
- Comes with three attachments
- Compact design
- Good battery life
Cons
- Mediocre sound quality
- No bass equalizer

Reviewer score 58% (normalized by Neofiliac)LG's Tone Free HBS-FN6 earphones offer an elegant design and some features. But the audio experience is a little strange, with that that isn't ideal. To get the best out of the drivers, you need to mess around with the EQ a little. The mic offers average intelligibility.
Pros
- Powerful bass and crisp highs
- Sleek, premium design
- Customizable EQ presets
Cons
- Bass Boost mode sounds a bit muffled
- No wireless charging
techradar[4]
Reviewer score 59% (normalized by Neofiliac)The LG Tone Free earbuds offer a six-hour battery life. The buds also come with an IPX4 water resistance rating. The controls are a little finicky, and you do have to be very deliberate in the way you press them. The bass frequencies tend to overpower the rest of the soundstage, while the trebles sometimes sound a little sibilant.
Pros
- Great noise cancellation
- Comfortable fit
- Wireless charging
Cons
- Muddied sound
- Noise cancellation is a bit gimmicky
trustedreviews[5]
Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)The LG FN6 are a true wireless pair of earbuds with a wide-ranging feature set for a reasonable price. The Tone Free app provides the chance to manipulate the equalizer settings with four pre-set modes: immersive, bass boost, natural and treble boost. On a typical workday, I managed to get through just over seven hours of semi-constant use with the headphones connected.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Excellent sound quality
- Good battery life
Cons
- No bass
- No UV cleaning
