JBL LIVE 500BT is a sleek set of over-ear wireless headphones, with a 50mm dynamic driver in each earcup. The LIVE 500BT boasts a 30-hour battery life with a charging time of just 2 hours.
The LIVE 500BT comes with JBL's Urban Noise Control, which is a form of passive noise reduction aided with TalkThru and Ambient Aware functions that make conversations easy while listening to music.
Like other models in JBL's LIVE-series, voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are supported. All settings can be adjusted via the all-new JBL App.
The two other models introduced alongside the on-ear LIVE 400BT are the LIVE 650BTNC with ANC.

The vocals are delivered with strong clarity, and perhaps some added sibilance. The built-in mic offers intelligibility, but we could just make out the Voice Memos app on an iPhone 8. JBL estimates battery life to be roughly 30 hours.

Reviewer score 33% (normalized by Neofiliac)The JBL Live 500BT have a powerful bass that sounds a bit thumpy. Their reproduction of vocals and lead instruments in the mid-range is nearly flawless. Their treble is a bit uneven and most of the range is over our target. They have a full parametric EQ available inside their app that allows you to add as many points as you want to customize their sound profile.
