Product Overview

Dell Inspiron 15 3501 is the most affordable laptop in Dell's laptop lineup powered by Intel's 11th-gen Core processors. Encased in a plastic chassis that is nonetheless compact, the Inspiron 15 3501 offers a large selection of I/O options, though USB-C is notably missing.
While Dell has economized on the feature set, the Inspiron 3501 offers decent performance in a sleek package. It is just over 9% lighter than its predecessor. From WiFi 5 to M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, the Inspiron 3501 also comes with some advanced features of yesteryear that have trickled down to the mainstream.
Dell also markets an AMD-powered version of the Inspiron 15 3000, the Inspiron 15 3505.

Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Dell's Inspiron 15 3501 is not built for high performance. The laptop produces low noise levels and barely heats up. The built-in Core i7-1165G7 processor delivers enough performance for office and Internet applications. An alternative to the Inspiron would be the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15C.
Pros
  • Matte IPS display
  • Good color reproduction
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Slow memory card reader
  • Slow Wi-Fi
