Product Overview

Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 7000s SSD is a high-end PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe 1.4 solid state disk. It delivers a maximum 7000MB/s sequential read and 5500MB/s sequential write without throttling, thanks to its robust heat management.
Available in 1TB or 2TB capacities, the AORUS Gen4 7000s SSD uses Phison's PS5018-E18 PCIe 4.0 controller and 3D TLC NAND flash. They offer a combination of efficiency, speed, and security. The 3D TLC NAND flash runs at 1200MT/s, 50% faster than the previous generation. At the same time, PCIe 4.0 affords the SSD double the bandwidth of PCIe 3.0 SSDs.
To manage heat emission during consistent high loads, Gigabyte has endowed the AORUS Gen4 7000s SSD with a 7mm-hight heatsink and an aluminum M.2 baseplate.

Reviewers from tomshardware have found the following***:
Gigabyte's Aorus Gen4 7000s is powered by Phison's second-generation PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD controller, the PS5018-E18. It leverages DRAM and features a triple-core architecture that is paired with the company's CoXProcessor 2.0 technology (an extra two R5 CPU cores) for fast and consistent response. The included aluminum heatsink measures 11.5 x 23.5x 76 mm and the black and silver two-tone looks fantastic, too. Gigabyte backs the Aorusgen 7000s with a 5-year warranty and each comes with respectable write endurance ratings.
