Product Overview

Sennheiser IE 300 are high-end in-ear headphones powered by Sennheiser's updated 7mm Extra Wide Band (XWB) transducers that reproduce sounds with precision, balance, and control.
Compared to lower-end headphones, the IE 300 are able to delve deeper into the lower frequencies, covering a frequency response from 6Hz to 20kHz. At the same time, they are tuned for a subtle, warm musicality, unlike professional headphones.
The Sennheiser IE 300 also come with a miniature resonator chamber that helps manage the flow of air behind the transducer.
At the same time, the IE 300 come with individually adjustable flexible ear hooks as well as a full set of silicone and memory foam ear adaptors.
While a 3.5mm cable reinforced with para-aramid is included, balanced 2.5mm and balance 4.4mm terminated cables will also be made available for purchase separately.

Reviewer score 90% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techhive have found:
The Sennheiser IE 300 sounds clean and clear with rich, authentic bass and natural vocals. The best IEH I had on hand during this review is the 1More Quad Driver ($169.99) The Quad Driver sounded very similar to the IE 300, but there were some subtle differences.
Pros
  • Clean, clear, and well-balanced sound with superb imaging and dynamic range
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No detachable cable

techradar[2]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Sennheiser IE 300 offer an excellent sense of space in their reproduction of music – a characteristic that's very rarely found within the category. The IE 300 uses 7mm Extra Wide Band (XWB) transducers in combination with extra air chambers to provide clarity in the audio reproduction. Once a successful seal was made, the IE 300 offered a truly rich and spacious musical experience. It's worth noting that the included silicon tips never felt overbearing.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Excellent sense of space
  • Excellent sound quality
Cons
  • Somewhat susceptible to microphonics

tomsguide[3]

Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
Sennheiser IE 300 are a very comfortable set of headphones. The sound signature is crisp, sharp and impeccably detailed, but not in a harsh or sterile way. The handling of stereo is particularly excellent, with such a strong sense of left and right that the soundstage almost seems to start bending behind you.
Pros
  • Excellent sound quality
  • Comfortable fit
  • Excellent passive noise isolation
Cons
  • Cable is fiddly
  • No IP rating

trustedreviews[4]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Sennheiser IE 300 are high-end earphones that lean towards a neutral approach. These earphones charm the ear, but their treble and upper-mids hog the limelight. Sub-bass depth and punch are good, and this low-end is the second source of energy and vitality for your music.
Pros
  • Powerful treble and bass
  • Decent bass depth and punch
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Mediocre mid detail

whathifi[5]

Reviewer score 61% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from whathifi have found:
Sennheiser IE 300 have been refined to include the 'Extra Wide Band' drive unit also found in the IE 800. This chamber-within-a-chamber structure helps manage airflow in an effort to produce a defined bass and equally satisfying midrange. The company has nailed class-leading insight and tonal neutrality in countless models, but has also shown an inclination towards richer, fuller and not so universally appealing sonic signatures.
Pros
  • Class-leading insight and tonal neutrality
  • Excellent build quality
  • Comfortable carry case
Cons
  • Lack of in-line remote
