androidauthority[1]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from androidauthority have found:
Samsung outfitted the Galaxy Chromebook 2 with a 5,920mAh, 45Wh battery. The glass trackpad works well, though I wish it were just a bit bigger. You get eMMC with both models instead of SSD drives, but it shouldn't be a dealbreaker unless you want to copy large files.
Pros
  • Gorgeous Full HD screen
  • Excellent battery life
  • Solid performance
Cons
  • No backlight
  • No webcam

digitaltrends[2]

Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 is a better laptop than its predecessor. It fits the mold of what people are looking for in a Chromebook, and is finally affordable enough to recommend. But missing some of the distinctive features of the original, it ends up much less interesting than it once was. Google's Pixelbook Go has longer battery life, a 1080p webcam and is more portable.
Pros
  • Sleek, attractive design
  • Bright QLED screen
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Lackluster performance
  • Only 64GB eMMC storage

laptopmag[3]

Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 runs on Chrome OS, which is an ideal operating system for users who are knee-deep in the Google ecosystem. Built-in webcams are typically awful, but the 720p camera on the Samsung Chromebook 2 is more disappointing than usual. Despite its svelte form factor, you don't have to worry about the Galaxy Chrome 2 setting your thighs on fire.
Pros
  • Gorgeous QLED display
  • Sleek design
  • Solid speakers
Cons
  • Lackluster battery life
  • Mediocre webcam

techradar[4]

Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 largely retains the same design as the original – and that's the highest praise we can give it. The aluminum chassis has a lovely red colorway, which will be immediately striking whenever you whip it out of your bag at your local coffee shop – when we're actually able to sit in local coffee shops again, anyway. Samsung is claiming up to 14 hours of battery life on a single charge, which is a huge improvement over the original laptop. At $699 at the top-end, the value of the Samsung Chromebook 2 has entirely shifted.
Pros
  • Beautiful design
  • Great battery life
  • Great display
Cons
  • No pen included

tomsguide[5]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Core i3 Galaxy Chromebook 2 is beefy enough to handle just about anything you can throw at it while browsing the web. The touchpad feels responsive, and it reliably picked up on my two- and three-finger gestures. The original Galaxy Chromebook burned through battery, in large part due to its 4K AMOLED screen.
Pros
  • Gorgeous 4K AMOLED screen
  • Sleek design
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No fingerprint sensor

wired[6]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from wired have found:
The original Samsung Galaxy Chromebook is a high-end, premium machine. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 is still very much a premium machine, just a little less svelte. There are two versions available, the $700 one I tested features a 10th-generation Intel Core i3 processor.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Great battery life
  • Good keyboard
Cons
  • No stylus or fingerprint sensor
