External Reviews

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The HP Omen 30L is my favorite prebuilt gaming desktop in its category. With a score of 16,108, it lands 11% ahead of the Lenovo Legion Tower 5i and 5% behind the Falcon NW Talon. It could play every game I tested in 4K at well over 60 fps, except for Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Pros
  • Gorgeous design
  • Excellent gaming performance
  • Excellent build quality
Cons
  • Fan noise is very loud
  • Fan noise could be better

pcmag[2]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
HP's Omen 30L is a solid pick for a mainstream gaming tower. It's widely configurable, with AMD and Intel CPU and RGB lighting options. It doesn't stand above the Alienware Aurora R11 or the Corsair Vengeance i7200. But if you choose the right configuration, it is worth the price.
Pros
  • Solid overclocking potential
  • High-quality RGB lighting
  • Supports Intel K-series multiplier-unlocked chips
Cons
  • Expensive for what you get

techradar[3]

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The HP Omen 30L offers plenty of performance without going deep into after-market customization. With settings dialed down, it can offer blistering speeds at 1080p with Ultra settings even in demanding games like Metro Exodus. There's a decent smattering of ports available on the computer, including two USB-A ports on the front of the case.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Solid 1080p gaming performance
  • Stylish RGB lighting
Cons
  • Only one fan

tomsguide[4]

Reviewer score 61% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Omen 30L can handle any PC game on the market with ease. It can copy over 25 GB of media from a thumb drive at a rate of 1,166 MBps. Its liquid cooling system is a thing of beauty, keeping the GPU cool. The included mouse and keyboard are the worst pack-in peripherals.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Powerful gaming performance
  • Very quiet
Cons
  • Preinstalled software
  • Pricier than Vengeance i7200

tomshardware[5]

Reviewer score 57% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The HP Omen 30L is a good option for your next high-end gaming PC. It's an even stranger time to actually buy one of these systems as we write this. The other ding to the Omen's otherwise sleek hardware and software package is an abundance of bloatware.
Pros
  • Sleek, sleek design
  • High-end gaming performance
  • Lots of bloatware
Cons
  • Boring software
  • High price
