Product Overview

ASUS ZenBook 14 UX425 with 11th-gen Intel Core Tiger Lake processor is an upgrade over the 10th-gen powered variant unveiled just months earlier. With the new processors, ASUS has endowed the new model with faster LPDDR4x memory, larger storage options, and a Thunderbolt 4 upgrade.
The ZenBook 14 UX425 is also upgraded with a QHD (2560x1440) display option.
Just like the original UX425, the ZenBook 14 retains the ultra-thin and ultra-light form factor, while offering long battery life and rich connectivity options. Its compact four-sided NanoEdge display offers 90% screen-to-body ratio, while the new NumberPad 2.0 alongside the ErgoLift hinge mechanisms, IR cameras for fast face-recognition, and an optional 1-watt display offer improved mobile usability.
The ZenBook 14 UX425 is the thinnest in its class to offer uncompromised I/O capabilities, including full-size HDMI.
Like the 10th-gen Intel variant, the new UX425 is designed for effortless portability, highlighted by an elegant all-metal chassis that's a mere 13.9 mm thin. The same two color options remain available.
At the same time, ASUS also updated the UX325 with 11th-gen Intel processors. A variant with OLED panel was further introduced at CES 2021.

notebookcheck[1]

Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA has the same 1080p AU Optronics B140HAN06.8 IPS panel as found on the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 but with two major differences. The latter is glossy whereas our Asus is matte meaning texts and images are slightly grainier here. Visual quality is otherwise similar between the two laptops with similar brightness levels, contrast ratios, gamuts, and response times.
Pros
  • Full HD resolution
  • Good battery life
  • Good input devices
Cons
  • Mediocre Core i7-1065G7 performance
  • Only one internal storage bay

pcmag[2]

Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Asus ZenBook 14 (UX425JA) hits the big three—portability, power, and affordable pricing. You get a bright display that's as compact and light as many 13.3-inch laptops. The best thing about it is that it might be worth carrying around around to take advantage of its price/performance ratio.
Pros
  • Sleek, light design
  • Bright, high-contrast display
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port
