Product Overview

Lenovo ThinkPad T14s with Intel is an ultra-slim business laptop, the successor to the T490s. Compared to the full-size T14, the ThinkPad T14s has only one compromise: it drops the optional MX330 graphics and the RJ45 connection but can otherwise be configured to the same level, despite having a chassis that is marginally thinner (just over 1mm).
The ThinkPad T14s with Intel, like other ThinkPad T-series business laptops, is tested against 12 military-grade requirements and more than 200 quality checks to ensure its robustness. For enhanced security, the ThinkShield security solutions, and optional 500 nits touchscreen with PrivacyGuard.
This 2020 model also features WiFi 6 and optional LTE-A WWAN to ensure fast network connection in all professional and personal use cases.
Like before, Lenovo also markets an AMD-powered T14s. There is also full-size T14 models powered by either AMD or Intel.

notebookcheck[1]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The AHVA IPS panel in the ThinkPad T14s has very good viewing angles. There are four CPU options on offer: two that support vPro technology and two that do not. All processors feature four cores. Lenovo says that in the future there will be a hexa-core option, but it does not specify when exactly it will come.
Pros
  • Matte IPS panel
  • Good input devices
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Mediocre CPU performance
  • No dedicated GPU

pcmag[2]

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The ThinkPad T14s flirts with a four-and-a-half-star rating and an Editors' Choice nod. Getting eight-core, 16-thread horsepower in a lightweight business notebook is still rare enough to be worth celebrating. Except for its slightly awkward microSD card, it's a fine choice for managing a photo collection.
Pros
  • Sleek, lightweight design
  • Gorgeous 4K display
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port
  • No 4K screen option
