Product Overview
Magico's M9 is the largest of four floorstanding loudspeakers in the company's flagship M-series, pushing the boundary of musicality, transparency, and fidelity.
While others in the M-series are of 3-way design, the M9 is a 4-way, six-driver floorstander. It feature the world's first loudspeaker enclosure to combine inner and outer skins of carbon fiber with a aluminum honeycomb core. The Magico M9 is paired with an outboard active analog crossover, the MXO.
The carbon-fiber-skinned aluminum honeycomb cabinet enjoys double the structural stiffness while ensuring that sound passes through completely and transparently. Magico also calibrated the organic shape of the enclosure the machine the front baffle to virtually eliminate diffraction.
The M9 also features new beryllium-diamond dome tweeter and 8th-gen Magico Nano-Tec cones with Aluminium honeycomb core. These new material technologies applied ensure extraordinary accuracy in sound reproduction. The large 3-, 4-, and 5-inch voice coils enjoy fast heat dissipation and offer great control over the cones.
The MXO crossover is active at the 120 Hz crossover point between the bass and mid-bass frequencies while passive for the other two crossover points. This ensures minimal distortion.
Three other models in the series are all floorstanders: the two-woofer Magico M2, and the three-woofer Magico M3 and Magico M6.
