Product Overview
Mission ZX-C2 is the larger of two center channel loudspeakers in Mission's mid-level ZX series designed for home theatre applications. It features two 5.25" mid-bass and two 5.25" bass drivers.
Being the company's flagship, the ZX series has a smoothly curved, lacquered cabinet in either gloss black or gloss white.
Every ZX series speaker has a Ring Dome treble unit: unlike traditional dome tweeters, the center of the textile dome is fixed, and the voice coil is attached partway down the dome. Thus, the dome forms two rings with the voice coil in the center, enabling it to drive the dome more accurately and efficiently.
The midrange / bass drivers feature Mission's DiaDrive units: the smoothly dished diaphragm is coupled to an inverted surround, again connected partway down the cone, improving the accuracy and efficiency of the driver.
Other models in the ZX series include three floorstanders, ZX-5, ZX-4, and ZX-3, two bookshelf speakers, ZX-2 and ZX-1, a smaller center channel speaker, ZX-C1, a wall-mount / surround speaker, ZX-S, and a subwoofer ZX-12 Sub.
