Sennheiser MD 445 is a live music microphone designed for vocalists: A large-diaphragm dynamic stage microphone, it features a high-rejection super-cardioid pickup pattern, providing maximum isolation and high feedback-resistance for the vocalist.
The dynamic microphone comes with a newly-developed voice coil made of lightweight aluminium-copper alloy. It delivers fast transient response that is detailed, transparent, and rich. Thanks to its tight super-cardioid pickup pattern, the MD 445 enjoys enormous gain before feedback, resulting in a dynamic range of 145 dB.
The MD 445 features a metal casting with shock-mounted capsule. A hum compensating coil protects the microphone against electromagnetic interference.
Sennheiser also offers the capsule of the MD 445 separately as MM 445 microphone head: the MM 445 can be connected to Sennheiser's wireless transmitters such as the evolution wireless G4, Digital 6000, and Digital 9000.
Launched together with the MD 445 is the MD 435 vocal mic, which differs in having a cardioid pickup pattern.
