gizmodo[1]
Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)For $500, you will get over 60 fps at 1080p on ultra no matter what, even in demanding games like Control and Metro Exodus. For that kind of performance, you had to pay $1,000 only two years ago. The 3070 whooped the 2080 Ti's butt in LuxMark rendering the same 3D image of a reflective chrome ball.
Pros
- Excellent 1080p ray tracing performance
- Good value for money
Cons
- Not as powerful as the RTX 2080 Ti
pcmag[2]
Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)At $499, the RTX 3070 Founders Edition was able to push over that coveted 4K/60fps grail in games like Far Cry 5 and F1 2020. It redefines what kind of budget it takes to play games in new resolution tiers versus just a generation before. If you've been waiting since the GeForce GTX 900 to upgrade, this is the rare card to beat.
Pros
- Fantastic 4K/60fps performance
- Gorgeous design
Cons
- Radeon RX 5700 XT is more expensive than RTX 3070
pcworld[3]
Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)The GeForce RTX 3070 delivers performance roughly on a par with the former RTX 2080 Ti flagship, but the newer graphics card consumes 30 watts less power. The Founders Edition model still uses Nvidia's tiny, highly customized PCB with a notch taken out of it to help with airflow. The card offers three DisplayPort 1.4 connections and a single HDMI 2.1 port capable of 8K video output.
Pros
- More power efficient than the RTX 2080 Ti
- More powerful than RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3090 Ti
Cons
- Only 8GB of GDDR6 memory
- No PCIe 3.0 support
techradar[4]
Reviewer score 87% (normalized by Neofiliac), but it doesn't really need to be. The RTX 3070 Founders Edition looks sleek as hell, and should have no problem fitting into pretty much any build. This current round of Founders Editions are some of the most attractive graphics cards we've ever seen. With how good they are at keeping things cool, the FE cards are our de facto recommendation – if you can find one.
Pros
- Gorgeous 4K performance
- Stunning design
- Great value
Cons
- No 12-pin power connector
- More expensive than RTX 3080
tomshardware[5]
Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)The RTX 3070 is both a big step up from the previous-gen cards it replaces. It has over 150 percent more FP32 compute and 67 percent more RT TFLOPS, though it still only has the same 448 GBps of bandwidth. Both fans are on the same side of the cooler (the side that normally faces down in a typical ATX case)
Pros
- More power efficient than previous-gen RTX 3080/3090
- Great performance for the price
Cons
- No RGB lighting
- Only one HDMI 2.1 port
trustedreviews[6]
Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac), and 4K with Ray Tracing turned on or off. This means the card is more than powerful enough to run the game at post 60fps withRay Tracing on in every resolution but 4K. The Division 2 is a massive multiplayer shooter with a huge active player base. Its internal benchmark is still a solid metric to gauge how a GPU will play most popular online shooters.
Pros
- Powerful enough for 1440p gaming
- Excellent build quality
Cons
- No internal benchmark
- Not the best optimised game
