Product Overview

The Inspiron 15 3505 is the most affordable laptop in Dell's laptop lineup. It is powered by a choice of four AMD mobile processors with integrated graphics.
While Dell has economized on the feature set, the Inspiron 3505 offers decent performance in a compact and lightweight package. It is just over 9% lighter than its predecessor. From WiFi 5 to M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, the Inspiron 3505 also comes with some advanced features of yesteryear that have trickled down to the mainstream.
Dell also markets an Intel-powered variant of the Inspiron 15 3000, the Inspiron 15 3501.

Reviewer score 36% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
No matter whether you equip the Inspiron 15 3000 with an Athlon, Pentium, or Celeron processor, performance is going to be relatively lackluster. The laptop actually performed well on our battery rundown test, playing a locally stored 720p video for nearly 11 hours before its battery died. The pricier Inspiron 17 3000 and Gateway Creator obviously perform better here.
Pros
  • Decent performance for the price
  • Low-resolution screen
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • Mediocre graphics performance
  • Dim display
