Product Overview
Canon EOS C70 4K Digital Cinema Camera is the first RF-mount Cinema EOS camera. It features Canon's next-gen Super 35mm DGO Sensor that extends the dynamic range and lowers noise levels by reading out each photodiode with two different gains.
The unique design of the EOS C70 camera puts a significant emphasis on operational convenience for the end-user. The small form-factor allows the camera to be easily handheld, providing a seamless bridge between the EOS and Cinema EOS families for cinematic applications.
It features a slim, motorized ND filter unit – having a mere 6mm depth – that is built into the short flange back of the RF mount. Thirteen customizable buttons allow users to select from more than 80 functions to be assigned based on individual preferences.

Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Canon EOS C70 is the smallest and lightest member of the Cinema EOS range and the first to employ the RF lens mount. Announced in September 2020, it’s aimed at documentary, news, corporate, social media and event videography. It inherits the Super-35 sensor from the C300 Mark II with a native resolution of 9.6 Megapixels or 4206x2280 pixels - this allows it to capture Cinema 4k or UHD video without scaling. The sensor is not stabilised within the body, instead relying on optical IS, digital stabilisation or gimbals. Canon has however launched the C70 with a new EF-EOS R 0.71x adapter which includes optics to apply a 0. 71x field reduction.
Pros
- Super-35 sensor from the C300 Mark II with a native resolution of 9.6 Megapixels or 4206x2280 pixels

- 10-stop variable ND filter
Cons
